The Falkland Islands are a landscape painter's paradise as they are to a wildlife painter.

The one caveat is that it is not often possible to paint 'plein air' due to the fact that even on fine days there is often too much wind to allow one to concentrate on the work in hand.

I usually visit the sites for my paintings and make sketches and take photographs not only of the subject itself but also of the surrounding area. This helps me to get the feeling of the place when I return home to paint in the tranquility of my kitchen.

I am always willing to undertake commissions but would reserve the right to refuse any commission that I believe does not suit my style.

I hope that this site will encourage painters of all skills to consider recording in paint the myriad and wonderful features of these Islands.
